More about this ottawa condo
151 Bay St stands out amongst the other buildings in Centretown for its design and architecture. Park Square was built in 1976 by Urbanetics and is Ottawa’s first buildings to have been developed by the use of wind tunnels studies to assess the effects of downdrafts to make it suitable for its location. This designed concluded with symmetrical brick silo towers and bands of balconies to make the building whole. The design of the building is raw due to the use of concrete but is softened from the gardens and park-like ambience that the condominium has.
Majority of the units feature hardwood flooring, open concept living spaces, high ceilings, expansive windows, in-unit laundry, and large private balconies. The kitchens feature lots of a cabinet space, granite or laminate counter tops, tiled backsplash, appliances, and a kitchen island with eat up breakfast bar.
Residents at Park Square can enjoy the indoor pool, sauna, gym, and workshop that the building has to offer.
Within walking distance of Park Square is The Supreme Court, National Archives, the War Museum, Parliament Hill, NAC, Rideau Shopping Centre, and the Byward Market. Planning a night out with friends and family will be a breeze as everything you could want or need is within walking distance of your front door.
Also within a short distance, a mere 3 minutes is the Lyon LRT Station. This is a perfect location for those who use public transportation to and from work. The LRT will take you through the downtown core and out to the east end at Blaire Station. The train will also bring you west, ending at Tunney’s Pasture next to the DND.
Residents at 151 Bay St with dogs are within a 5 minute walk to one of the three well known fenced in dog parks in downtown Ottawa. Tech Wall Dog Park is located on the corner of Slater St and Bronson Ave. This dog park has lots of room for your dog to run and play and is also the most infamous spot to get some pretty awesome Instagram photos with the graffiti wall in the background. The dog park is open from 5am till 11pm.
